What brought you to Mohawk College?

Always had a interest in Architecture and Building Construction Was inspired by my teacher at Central High School

Tell us about your favourite Mohawk experience?

Starting off at the Hoffman Building on King Street and moving up to partially built Mohawk College on Concession Street. The field trip to New York City, visiting some of the remarkable buildings and architecture. Attending the Merv Griffith show across from the place we stayed. Then going on to Harvard University, Yale University and then Wellsley College. Then of course the instructors, Mr. Manderala, and the friendship of other fellow students

What impact has Mohawk had on your life?

Inspired me to continue my education and believe in the saying " What ever the mind of man can conceive and believe he can achieve"

What are you up to now?

After graduation went to work for a consulting firm in Hamilton, then moved onto a Mechanical Contractor (Building Hamilton Sewage Plant) Then moved onto working for Wimpey Construction Site Foreman Burlington. Followed by building homes for myself - Hamilton Attended Teachers College U of T. After graduation, got married had 3 children. Moved to Burlington Got a teaching position in Oakville at a local High School ( teaching Building Construction ) T.A.Blakelock H.S. - Halton Board of Education - Department Head. Now after 25 years teaching retired in 2000, did some renovation work, helped to look after 4 grandchildren. Most recently starting to travel arond Europe. Still live in Burlington
