KAT CLARK

Broadcasting - TV and Communications Media - 2010

What brought you to Mohawk College?

I came to Mohawk to get hands on experience in the exciting world of television broadcasting and learn frost hand from professors still active in the field.

Tell us about your favourite Mohawk experience?

My favourite Mohawk experience was the year I served as the Mohawk Students’ Association President. I learned so much during my time as a student leader and developed transferable skills I still use in the workplace today.

What impact has Mohawk had on your life?

Mohawk changed the course of my life completely, I met my husband and many of our lifelong friends there, established a career in Hamilton and was able to return to campus as a part time professor many years later.

What are you up to now?

I spent the decade after graduation working in television and radio here in the city at KX94.7, 92.9 The Grand and Cable 14 to name a few. I am currently off on mat leave with my 2month old son but prior to that I had been working as the marketing manager for Core Entertainment (FirstOntario Centre, FirstOntario Concert Hall and The Studio event venues here in Hamilton). I am also keeping busy during my time away from work by serving as the past chair of the Mohawk College Alumni Association, a member of the board for The Mohawk College Foundation and The Country Music Association of Ontario.
