What brought you to Mohawk College?

I wanted to study Supply Chain Management. It was a life long goal. Due to some personal circumstances I ended up in Computers and Technology. I had one year to do whatever I wanted, Mohawk had the best course. I read it’s outline and I loved it. I heard nothing but good things about Mohawk from friends and colleagues, and they were not wrong.

Tell us about your favourite Mohawk experience?

I entered the institute with get in fast, learn and get out. Over the course of 8 months, my mindset changed. I made friends, connected with my classmates and professors. Everyday I looked forward to going to the library, sitting with my friends whole day, work on different projects, learn something new. Mohawk Library has my heart. I spent one of the best time of my student life there, and I’m sure my friends have the same thing to say about it.

What impact has Mohawk had on your life?

I learned supply chain, but I also learned how to make new friends, how to connect with different people, regardless of age, race, or gender. I learned how to grow professionally and personally to achieve my dreams. This is not an exaggeration when I say, Mohawk has been by far the best institution I’ve attended in my student life.

What are you up to now?

Unfortunately, I’m not doing anything in Supply Chain. As much as I’d love to move forward in the area, I couldn’t pass on the opportunity to work in databases. I’m currently working as a Database Specialist with a Nonprofit Organization. To my surprise I’m using a lot of thing I learned from my 8 months experience in my current profession. I’m on a path to be a fully trained Database Analyst soon and I’ll always remember my learnings from Mohawk, and I’m sure Mohawk will be with me as well, in every step of my journey.
