What brought you to Mohawk College?

I am a repeated graduate of Mohawk College and have been a lifelong learner. Mohawk has a fantastic reputation and is local to me which was something that was very important to me and my family.

Tell us about your favourite Mohawk experience?

I enjoyed the program specific spirit days that I got to take part in when I was on site at the IAHS campus. I wish there were more for the Practical Nursing program, rather than just some other areas of the allied health sciences, but I enjoyed the freebies and the awareness opportunities to win a free pen or other swag in the common areas.

What impact has Mohawk had on your life?

I was instantly hired at Brantford General Hospital where I have stayed for these past 3 years or so. I am a rehab nurse and I love my job. I can't really imagine working in another unit or in another career now, I have found my calling.

What are you up to now?

I am also a bridging student for the BScN program at Nipissing University part time so that I can continue onto my dream of working as shift lead. I am just wrapping up my first of five years of study. It works for me as I have 3 children and a very active life.
